Promoting the unknown, a continuing series

I decided to do a post with mostly just chamber stuff, I don’t think I’ve done that before (and I figured if I included ‘a Hamelin’ as well, people who don’t like chamber music should still be able to appreciate some of the stuff in the post – because, you know, Hamelin is awesome..).

The rest is below the fold…

When I was young there were some people over the years who tried to get me into the whole chamber music thing – I even played in a (quintet? sextet?) for a few years. I liked solo piano much better and I gradually lost interest in the other stuff. Anyway I don’t actively dislike the stuff and some if it is very nice – and it’s a type of music I believe is significantly less well known to the general public than is the ‘standard’ classical solo works and the large-scale orchestral stuff.
