Some really weird (disturbing?) pics, bunny suicide edition

I bookmarked the site where I found the pics a while ago, intending to blog it at some point. Can’t remember how I got there in the first place. Some of them remind me a bit of Gary Larson’s strips, even if his material is unquestioningly of much higher average quality.

The Peanut Butter Earth Hypothesis

This stuff is just hilarious:

Yes, it’s also sad, but I choose to laugh. As PZ Myers puts it, no scientist gives much credibility to the ancient Peanut Butter Earth hypothesis (I couldn’t stop laughing after having read that sentence, it really made my day!). If I had intended to create a strawman to beat up in order to make people like these look bad, I couldn’t possibly have come up with something even remotely as moronic as this stuff. Or as the first commenter at Pharyngula notes: I don’t even know how Creationists come up with their bullshit. It’s like they’re trying to look stupid on purpose.

Promoting the unknown, a continuing series

Some of these pieces are not completely unknown and that goes for some of my previous pieces in this series as well, but I’ve decided that I’ll continue to use this title for my posts as long as so much classical piano music is completely unknown to most people, which sadly it seems to be. I performed an abridged version of the first piece a decade ago or so at a few recitals, but I had actually almost completely forgotten about it. Still a very nice little piece. I played the second piece some five years ago. I have never played the others.
