Surprising sentence of the day

we find no evidence of convergence in minority-majority graduation rates over the past 35 years….

Education, and specifically high school graduation, is one of the most important variables when it comes to determination/estimation of lifetime income. If the above finding is correct and little or no convergence in education levels takes place, this also means that we in the future can expect to see a much lower income convergence between the groups than we thought.
