Wow. Just. Wow.

I just wanted to share this:

The position is from a blitzgame I happened to watch (at the playchess server) between GM Tigran Petrosian and an unknown GM playing under the alias “Raffael”. Petrosian used the Canal-Sokolsky attack, probably to “make something happen” as the previous three games played were all drawn.

Here’s how the game continued: 18…Rxc3!?, 19.bxc3…Nxe4!, 20.Be3…Nf2+, 21.Bxf2…Qxf2

This was a four-minute game! Dear god… They just played on like nothing had happened, used less than a minute combined on the exchange, and the game didn’t end until move 79.
