We haven’t done bananas, have we?

I just got thinking: Some of the Python sketches can, with a twist, illustrate some of the problems with socialism. A few examples:

This Monty Python gag actually illustrates some of the problems with foreign aid. Except for a few people, people just keep trying the same things over and over again, singlemindedly refusing to even consider any of the relevant branches of alternatives.

This one deals with wasteful government spending (even if the applicant is turned down).

This one illustrate quite well one of the main problems that arises because of central planning.
